Last Saturday I travelled to Bedfordshire for the wedding photography of Matt and Robyn.
Bedfordshire wedding- The Stable Yard wedding venue, Wootton Green
This wedding venue is a real gem at the end of a beautiful tree lined road. The Stableyard is a working livery yard which adds to the charm of the venue. While Robyn got ready in one of the cottage apartments I went to meet Matt in the woodland, just a short stroll away.
He was frantically busy with all the last arrangements – checking that everything was just right before Robyn’s arrival.
They created a magical scene and divided the space up with a beautiful open-air ceremony area, with strawbales dotted around. They arranged a large open marquee where all could go and huddle in case of rain. So it did, on and off during the day, but it all added to the wonderful relaxed atmosphere of their day. In a small corner garden games were set up from limbo dancing, bean bag throwing to giant Jenga.
Documentary Wedding Photographer
Robyn and Matt are a lovely, relaxed couple and wanted their wedding photography to be natural and unposed to reflect them as a couple.
The day had a really natural flow. Robyn arrived in style with her dad in his open-top Jaguar- why walk if you can drive?
After photographing their wonderful ceremony I followed them down a woodland path and then on to a vast open field for some relaxed portraits. Group photos were done throughout the day as and when people were ready.
I had a wonderful time capturing all their candid moments chatting to guests, queuing for the hog roast and tossing her wedding bouquet -twice!!
Documentary wedding photography worked really for them as they wanted to spend the day with their family and friends in a relaxed way.
I have made a short slide show to give you a sneek peak of some of their magical moments.
