Notley Abbey wedding photographer | Buckinghamshire

Ryan and Benjamin had a wonderful Notley Abbey Wedding on 26 September 2019. Being an actor, Ryan fell in love with all the history. Notley Abbey is the former home of  Sir Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh and has played host to kings and celebrities such as Henry VIII and Marilyn Monroe.

They where so lucky to have a blue sky, autumn day with only a scattering of cloud. Leon followed Benjamin’s morning in one of the cottages with all the bridesmaids and children while I captured Ryan’s morning in the Abbot Suite.

Both rooms are blessed with wonderful natural light, simply any wedding photographers dream come true. We are always seeking the best possible light, especially indoors.

Luckily the weather was kind enough for their ceremony to take place in the historic walled garden. They had an intimate outdoor ceremony with beautiful readings and hand written vows.

The ceremony was followed by their drinks reception on the front terraces and lawns where guest mingled and children played. Speeches and dinner was in the Monks’ Refectory with wonderful movie themed table settings all made by Benji over three months, from Mulan, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Alladin, UP, Moana  to the star of the show Winnie The Pooh.

Their entire day was centred around the togetherness of friends and family and we loved capturing their special day from beginning to end.
