-Capturing moments that matter-
Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer
Why do I love wedding photography ?
Simply said, I like to please and make people happy but above all, I would like to give you unforgettable memories of your wedding day.
How do I achieve this ?
I capture every aspect of your day in a very natural, authentic and elegant way. Anticipation, anxiety, joy, sadness, love, relief will all be part of your wedding day. Therefore, it is really important to me giving you photos with feeling and honesty. My storytelling approach means that I would normally arrive by 10 am covering all your getting ready fun and continue taking photos throughout your day until there is a natural end to all the celebrations.
Do you supply prints and albums ?
Oh Yes ! Ideally I would like to give you something tangible to remind you of all your special moments for many years to come. For instance, I include prints and a wedding album in two of my packages as I believe photos bring a home to life.
Are we in safe hands ?
My priority, is giving you my best, from our first meeting, taking the time to get to know you, capturing your wedding and delivering your images through to aftercare such as ordering albums, prints and wall art.
All my couples should feel that their wedding matters because I truly care. In other words, I aim to meet you in person at your wedding venue before the big day, discussing all your requirements and ideas. We would also go through your pre-wedding questionnaire at this time to make sure your day run just the way you imagined it.
I feel self-conscious ?
In addition, I am always available to offer advice along the way, should you have any questions about planning your schedule or if you are worried about certain aspects. For instance, not all people love being in front of a camera and I am definately one of them. So, I completely understand how you feel. If this is you, I would arrange a complimentary photo session with you, helping you overcome your fears. This way you would feel far more relaxed in front of my camera on your wedding day.
Every wedding is different and I would like your photographs to be an honest memory of your special day. Just the way you imagined it!
If you are looking for a Hertfordshire wedding photographer
Hello, I’m Nel, a Hertfordshire wedding photographer living near St Albans with my husband Leon, two wonderful children and 5 pets. Leon is also my trusted second photographer who has been by my side for 25 years.
We are originally from South Africa and have been living in the UK since 1996 and Hertfordshire has been our home for just over 20 years. Working with people have always been my passion. So, after leaving school I studied BSc Physiotheraphy and worked as a physio in the UK for over ten years. This has given me great experience in engaging with people and understanding their needs.
Apart from my love of working with people I have always been a very keen artist, hence my passion for photography. My natural, authentic photography style and love of punchy vibrant images have certainly been influenced by my South African heritage. Having the experience of living on two different continents with different cultures made me realise that we all have our own individual perspective on life. Every wedding I do, is a unique representation of each couple with their family and friends.
I trained as a professional wedding photographer for one year with The Trained Eye Academy based in Amersham. Mike Garrard, Damion Mower, Benjamin Toms and Faye Cornhill were my tutors and mentors. All are amazing photographers and I cannot thank them enough for their advice and expert direction.
Although I am based in Hertfordshire I am available for weddings throughout the UK.
