Wedding photography, your moments captured unobtrusively with a splash of elegance and style

I am passionate about wedding photography. Your wedding day truly matters to me from the moment you book until weeks after your wedding, when I am editing all your amazing photographs.

An idea of how I approach your wedding photography

I love to set the scene of your wedding day with images of your venue or photos at home where you are preparing for you big day. I normally turn up an hour or so before you need me or even the previous day to capture these shots. This is also a good time for me look for lovely photo opportunities and seek out potential spots with beautiful light for your portraits, outdoors or indoors.

Wedding prep is an exciting time with a bit of chaos here and there. I try to be as unobtrusive as possible and just look for natural happy moments as you get ready throughout the morning. I also love capturing a few details such as your wedding dress in the background while you are chatting to friends. Pictures like this tell a story and are far more interesting than just a picture of your dress on its own. My charming second photographer will cover all groom prep in a similar way.

As there is hardly ever enough time from the moment your are beautifully dressed to getting to your ceremony I tend to capture bridal photos on the go with natural expressions of anticipation, joy and perhaps some nerves.

During your ceremony I am normally standing at the front capturing your entrance and all your special moments as the ceremony unfolds including your family and guests in the background.

Confetti runs are one of my favourite moments as I aim to snap every blink, as you step out to greet your guests. After all the wonderful hugs, kisses and congratulations, I like to capture your group photos and some special photos of you before your wedding breakfast. If the time and weather allow I love to do a few more photos of you at sunset or even later.

I love dance floor mayhem and don’t just capture your first dance. I stay until there is a natural end to your fun filled day. You will not find me on the side taking photos but rather between all your guests on the dance floor with my camera.

But saying all of the above is just an idea of how a typical wedding day goes. I have no recipe, as it is more important for me to photograph your day your way, just as you imagined it! Just go with the flow- is the best way to capture real moments that matter.
